Today was a beautiful day here in Colorado!

We enjoyed spending our last day with Grandma Nancy before her plane departed back for home in Houston.  We were sad to see her go and to know we are officially on our own now, at least for a few days until Aunt Julie arrives on Friday!  Just before leaving for home all the girls went to babies r us for some shopping....picking up Natalie's new stroller and toy box!  Thank you grandma and grandpa Bob and Nancy!

Natalie also got to sit outside this afternoon on our deck listening to the wind blow and watching our aspen trees blow back and forth.  We also grilled hot dogs with our friend Shane Conrad just before our hockey game tonight which we ended up winning 6-4!!!  boo-yah

Tonight after the game Natalie got to meet her Uncle Andy (who is still in China) and talked to him though Skype!

Our Day of Visitors

Today we had our first visitors!  Natalie got to meet our St. Louis friends, Ben & Christi and their son, Samuel, Vicki Monahan (one of the teachers I work with), and our good friends, Rachael & Daron.  She also received some new gifts!  She got two dresses (one from Hogabooms and one from Souans) and a great new book from Souans.  I also got the opportunity to have her awake long enough to read her two books...she looked at me the whole time I read to her...very cute!

A Day of Firsts

Ok, so today was a momentous day here at the Betz household!  We went to our first visit to see the doc and have a check up for little Natalie.  Everything turned out great other than the dried boogers she had in her nose making her breathing kinda loud, but we got those guys taken care of.  Next we napped for about three hours and then woke up to do her first bath time!  Wow, you should have been there.  The Johnson& Johnson bottle of soap said, "no more tears" and well, if you take a look at the pictures it didn't turn out exactly as the bottle said.

After that we did Natalie's first photo shoot, and boy, she is so fun to photograph!  She did great and we got a couple of good pictures too!  And to top the night off, we had Nancy's homemade spaghetti sauce on top of a plate of angel hair pasta with a loaf of garlic butter bread and a bottle of IBC root beer to wash it all down!

Ok so we are officially starting a blog or online journal( is what i like to call it) since our first baby is now here!  We figured it would be an easy way to keep in touch with new pictures since that will be what gets posted most of the time.  We hope this works out....so we will just have to see!  So today We brought home our little Natalie and boy she really loves her new room!
