Just out and about!

I just love her eyes in this one, so had to post it (click on the picture to make it bigger)! It's with Jon's new camera (which he loves, by the way) and it really is amazing what a difference it makes to now have a full-frame digital SLR. In other news, we just did our last wedding of the 2008 season and are encouraged by the response so far from joining a business networking group. We have some bridal shows coming up after Thanksgiving, so we're hoping to see some more '09 bookings after those! We are really excited to be seeing family in Cape Girardeau and St. Louis next week!

"Test Shots"

So Jon just upgraded his camera to the D700...quite a great upgrade! He (of course) is like a kid with the new toy at Christmas...Anyway, today he did what he calls "test shots" with Natalie to get the settings all set and learn his new camera. Even though he calls them "tests" I thought a few of these were much too cute and had to post them!

Aspen the mighty dog!

We had the pleasure of dog sitting Aspen this weekend while our friends Jeremiah & Brittany attend a wedding back in St.Louie!
Here are a couple shots I took tonight while it was pitch black outside. Aspen is a great dog and we have enjoyed our time with her.

Red Rock Canyon

So today we went to Red Rock Canyon to play around and get a little bit of hiking in before the snow comes! Snuggle bug was a little cold as you can see her little red nose in the pix. This was our first time here and it was really cool because we have passed by this place dozens of times and have never stopped until today! (Actually it was our destination today as we were not just passing by) But you get the idea. Anyways we saw a couple of deer on our way as we criss-crossed a couple different trails and circled back to the car as it was getting cold outside. On the way back we saw GAS for $1.85!!! I was going to stop to take a picture but wanted to see if it drops to a buck-fifty.

we had to dismount!

Red Bird!

Natalie got a new favorite toy from great grandma Bobbie and PaPa Ed on the cruise last month. She LOVES it SO much! It sings when you squeeze it and she just lights up with a smile! Thank you SO SO much guys!

Julie comes to town!

My sister, Julie, has a consulting job this year with her sorority, Delta Gamma. For one year, she serves whatever chapters she's assigned to visit. We were so excited when she had two Colorado schools to visit, and after those, she had one of her short breaks! She got to come down for a quick visit from Saturday through Tuesday morning. We had a great time with her, and I know Natalie has grown up so much since Julie saw her at 10 days old! Natalie had a great time with her aunt, and even though the trip was brief, it's fun knowing we will see her again along with my parents, brother Andy, and his girlfriend, Kate at Christmas!

Ok so onwards to Halloween day! Natalie got to debut the pumpkin costume that grandma LaVonna gave her! We had a nice time with our friends Daron and Rachael and their mountain dog Belle! We had a fab dinner and then sat in the driveway doing the trick or treat hand outs and a bonfire (of course in our fire pit we are not rednecks). Boy o' boy some of the kids these days have NERVE. We said to one trick or treater to help yourself and the kid took half our bowl! What an outrage! It was all fun though! Heres a couple shots from the day!

Belle( the mountain dog )

natalie was pretty mellow today
Ok so we are kinda behind on the blog so I will try and catch you all up. First things first, so a couple of weeks ago we got our first snow here...more like a heavy dusting but still none the less, it was snow. It was pretty to have the white and the fall time colors!
