5th Annual Christmas Tree Chop!

here it is! well the middle section at least. This is our 5th annual Christmas Tree Chop and 3rd here in Colorado! We had our hands full this year with Natalie trying to trudge through the 8 inches of snow in her 2 inches too big boots and wearing dad big mittens that go up to her shoulders made it hard for her to focus on looking for our tree this year. Meanwhile Lindsay is got Tyler in a polar bear suit and thrown over her shoulder on the look out for the tree. Lindsay spotted our tree this year (fir tree 7 feet tall) and then called in the calvary to chop it down! We had a blast this year even though our hands were very full of kids and tree sap. On the way back home Natalie fell asleep while the snow was coming down as we drove through Garden of the Gods singing Christmas tunes on the radio and spotting deer in the park. Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving

We had lot's of visits from friends and family this Thanksgiving since Tyler was a popular man to see. Thanks everyone who took a moment to come by the house to see Tyler or to send a gift to him, we are very grateful. Lindsay's folks were here to stay through turkey day and will be coming back during Christmas! We had everyone pitch in to help us out from cooking in the kitchen to dirty diaper changes and then everyone left and reality set in that we now have 2 kids and a family of 4! Anyways here are a bunch of photos from this time.

Tylers 1st Photo shoot

5 days old!

Tyler's First Bath

Tyler and I arrived home on Wednesday morning and we all jumped right into a couple of work appointments (yes, we may be crazy, but we really didn't want to reschedule anything for this week!). Thursday was a little busy too, so we decided that his first bath would be on Friday. My mom arrived Friday morning and was very excited to be there for bath #1! Here's some favorites from bathtime!

Maternity Portraits

Jon and I finally captured some maternity portraits recently, and I have to say, I am so glad we did them! I'm so close to the end that I didn't feel too great about taking them this late in the pregnancy, but Jon managed to have his talents create beautiful images that I love. The ones with Natalie are just precious, so I'm mostly sharing some of those here!

Our Halloween Panda

Two Weeks or so to go!

I am just about to the end of my pregnancy and have had the "all clear" for Tyler's arrival for one week now. Still hoping he waits to come until closer to the due date of Nov 23rd, but I have little control over that timing!! We are getting excited to meet the newest addition to the family and excited to have my parents and sister here with us for Thanksgiving. We're busy, busy, busy getting things taken care of before having a newborn in the house, so hopefully the posts I've done for you today will keep you satisfied until we're announcing Tyler's arrival!

My Little Pony Princesses Party

Natalie was invited to Adelaide's 1st Birthday Party at the end of October, and there were real ponies there to ride!! A little timid at first, but then I think she had fun. It was the perfect time too to wear our party dress from Nana with our necklace. Natalie loved playing in the backyard (we are really excited for swings and slides anywhere we find them, and we are getting very brave going down on our own and climbing up playground stuff) and with the balloons inside!
