Garage Overhaul!

this has been on my list of home projects to do for close to a year or so and now that Sprint has been flushed, I have a bit more time to get things done and crossed off my list.  The basic idea was to drag everything out of the garage and to the front yard, paint the walls and ceiling and reorganize so we can park 2 cars in our 2 car garage.....heres the results after 8 long hours of work!

1st Cold.

so sad but true.  Natalie has her first cold and her little nose is full of snot!  Not a pretty sight when it just runs down into your mouth.....YUCK!  We are giving her lots of sleep and a little baby Tylenol in liquid form.  She's been sneezing and coughing but still lots of smiles!  We aren't sure she even know she's sick!  On top of that she's getting her first tooth in so she needs lots of attention to say the least.  Pray for her quick recovery if you think about her.  thank you!

babysitting and bbq!

Jon and Courtney came over this last Saturday to babysit Natalie and watch the Fighting Irish beat Purdue while we were photographing a wedding!  Afterwards we enjoyed a grilled salmon some snap peas and some mashed tators and then enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and the Jungle Book movie!  Classic!   Thank you guys SO much for all your help, we are in debt LOTS of babysitting hours to lots of people now, but we love it....

Natalie at 5 Months!

the original list

not sure what she's doing here.  I think she trying to sit up with her head...

cute as a button

natalie is getting her first tooth so she eating her arm to numb down the pain!

all smiles

So a couple days ago we did Natalie's 5 month portrait session and she is forever changing and growing.  We think she has hit 12 pounds now which is double her birth weight of 6.2!

We also did pictures of her sleeping in the "wiese" basket as it has been called by some. Margaret Wiese was first to sleep in it in the year 1919.  It's a family tradition that has been carried on for generations now,  when ever there is a new baby born on Lindsay's family side they are to have the baby take a nap in the almost 100 year old basket and then pass the basket on to the next family who has a new baby.  The basket also has a log of everyone that have slept in the basket. Be sure to click on the picture to see the details of history log.  The best part is that Margaret turned 89 years young this year!  Enjoy!

p.s. Natalie napped in the basket for 2 hours, it still must be comfy...

Backyard flowers!

The days of fall have swept away our beautiful backyard flowers, this will be our last vase of fresh flowers until next summer!  They alway seem to last longer in a photograph so until then...

Colorado Brides !

A couple nights ago we got to attend a networking night at the the Denver History Museum.  The evening was great, with appetizers that seemed to come straight off Top Chef TV!  We got to share what we do as a business and learn about new ways to market it!  It was fab!  The whole evening was sponsored by Brides.com

Fall Time Rocky Mountain National Park!

Our trip to rmnp was very short but very fab!  We had a beautiful view from our front porch, (tent) got to see some golden aspens as we drove up Fall River Road and got to hear the elk bugle!  We also got to visit Cheley Camps and photograph Brad Penoyer for his senior pictures!  Our second night there we got rained on and it wasn't hot either, the low that night was 35 degrees and so we went to True Value and bought a space heater to heat our tent!  NICE and TOASTY! Luckily we had electric!  I know we are wimps but we could not let it too cold for the sake of Natalie!

Mountain biking in Grand Junction Colorado

Jeff and I
cooled off in a cave
almost ran over a snake
entering the "toilet bowl"
slick-rock trail

My buddy Jeff Miller from St. Louis came out to ride the slick-rock in Colorado and so we met up on our way back from Moab and did some mountain biking on the Ribbon Trail.  It was VERY fun and kinda scary on some of the downhills.  All these were from my cell phone since I don't have a pocket camera yet.   sorry the videos play but the music is all distorted cause its from a cellphone and not formatted right....i guess
