Lake George, Colorado

Yesterday we photographed a family reunion at a mountain lodge up in Lake George Colorado and afterwards we got to have some fun (just the 3 of us) up in the mountains exploring the backcountry roads and the beautiful South Platte river.  It was about a 1.5 hours drive up in the mountains and it was plain beautiful!  Here are some of what we saw...

we loved this view and so we stayed and watched the sunset

your photos are great! That must have been a great little trek up the mountains. How high up would you say you were? Wish I was there right now. I think those are probably wild flowers...considered by some as 'weeds'.
